Photography is a subject I am passionate about and I really enjoy teaching others and inspiring them to take better images.

I can offer individual and group tuition tailored to your personal requirements and can cover many subjects from landscape, wildlife, sport, architecture, aviation to portraiture. With a background in IT, I also keep up to-date with the latest techniques used for image processing and sessions can be arranged either at my home, your home or even online.

I am currently a member of the f8 Image Group who were awarded the Western Counties Photographic Federation (WCPF) digital projected image competition winners for the South West region in 2015 and 2016 joint winners in 2017 and joint 3rd in 2018 but also won Best Small Club 2018. I also regularly enter my images into the national photographic exhibitions and speak at Camera Clubs about my work.

Workshops

In 2014, I teamed up with fellow photographer David Morton to offer residential workshops in specially chosen locations throughout the UK. These vary from long weekends to week long breaks and are suitable for all skill levels - covering a variety of topics from understanding your camera, creative image taking to post processing and preparing your image for print.

We often shoot a number of different subjects on each trip to learn different techniques and to build your portfolio of images. Subjects include landscapes, wildlife, macro, sport and use of flash/studio lighting and we are often willing to loan equipment such as filters etc. if have not got your own.

Each workshop is limited to a small group size of 7 people and coupled with two tutors this will allow you to develop your approach to photography and inspire you to take your photography to the next level.

With several years experience between us working at a professional level for both private & commercial clients, we have a multitude of skills that are at your disposal and we will provide honest and unbiased advise to any specific issues you have. Coupled with our friendly and approachable manner, we will make every effort to ensure you have a great experience.

We have previously run workshops in Cornwall, Dorset, Brecon Beacons, Cairngorms and we are always looking for new locations.
